The classroom prizes have been a huge hit—I've incorporated them into our review games, as well as for rewarding positive behavior and recognizing strong academic success. It's been wonderful to see how motivated the students are to participate and support one another.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up! They were so excited to see all the fun prizes and couldn't wait to start earning them. The new resources have really helped boost engagement and created such a positive classroom atmosphere.\r\n\r\nAs for next steps, my students are currently working on a unit where they apply what they've learned through interactive review games and collaborative projects. Students with great behavior and following classroom and school expectations have chances every week to earn prizes. The multiple items you donated were put into those prize categories. Points are earned and they can choose items that fit within the points they received. Many students put in a lot of effort to earn the larger prizes. The full size candy bars were the biggest hit. We were all surprised to fit XL cookies and cream heresy's and Reese Bars. These treat have rally help improve classroom focus and behaviors. We all really appreciated your donation! We were able to conduct several new experiments. When we first received the generator I placed it on the counter. Every class that entered the room that day were instantly excited! The asked a million questions and couldn't wait to plug it in. We talked a lot about static electricity, electrons, and protons. With all of the additional attachments and tools students were able to get a clearer picture of how positives and negatives attach. As well as how two of the same charge repel. We did several experiments. Some of the new experiments included the spinning star, the jumping tin foil tub, and just attaching the wand. Some experiments we got to test again with a new generator included makin paper stand up, dancing ball, and making hair stand up. The kids favorite was making their hair stand up and comparing the reasons why some stand up more than others. Thank you again for this amazing tool. You put so many smiles on students faces.","fullyFundedDate":1739455211059,"projectUrl":"project/hair-raising-learning/8939194/","projectTitle":"Hair Raising Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lepak","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8505624"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_38690","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":247,"numTeachers":9,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"27.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":38690,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John Edwards Junior Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John Edwards Junior Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/port-edwards-school-district/john-edwards-junior-senior-high-school/38690"}
