My third graders are having a great time reading them. They have access to a wonderful selection of books that are at their own reading levels, and they're so excited to read books that they enjoy. Many of my students are behind in their reading skills, and this project gave all of them the opportunity to fall in love with books and reading. Every day, students spend 20–30 minutes in my room with free choice reading time. During this time, they can find a comfy spot within my classroom and relax while they read. I believe that developing a love of reading at a young age will create a passion for learning that will continue throughout their lives. This purchase was also a huge help in bridging the learning gap for many of my students and will continue to help them in future years.
