The Haitian flags you provided were a vital part of two recent performances, and they truly enhanced the students' hard work.\r\n\r\nThe dance team proudly used the flags during two events in May 2025: the final end-of-year Performing Arts Showcase at Holland School's auditorium and the Boston Public School City-Wide Arts Festival at Boston City Hall Plaza.\r\n\r\nOur dancers were especially thrilled to use the flags to represent Haiti in a performance choreographed by one of our Haitian students. Even though they take turns using it, they've enjoyed exploring its features and seeing how it enhances their work. One of the biggest benefits has been the speed—students love how quickly they can connect to the internet and access research materials without frustrating delays. Since some educational sites are blocked on the school's network, they've found a creative solution by using AirDrop to transfer photos, documents, and information from their phones to the MacBook, making their research process much smoother.\r\n\r\nBeyond just research, the MacBook has also made it easier for students to create engaging projects. It's more compatible with their iPhones (which the majority of my students have) and different programs that allow them to produce video reports, which has been a huge hit. Instead of just writing essays or slideshows, they're now able to record and edit their own multimedia presentations, making their work more interactive and dynamic. Seeing their excitement and confidence grow as they explore these new possibilities has been incredible. Thank you for making this opportunity possible! We received our new laminator and promptly put it to use. Because our teachers prepare their own classroom materials, the new laminator allows them to save these for continued use. I head the following from one of our teachers: \"As the Spanish teacher, I often have to create my own word games to help students practice vocabulary in engaging ways. Having access to a laminator allows me to preserve these materials so they can be reused whenever my students need to review.\" \r\n\r\nRecently, I collaborated with the Biology teacher on a research project on human body systems. The students worked in groups to research, prepare a presentation, and create an infographic for display. They were very excited to see their work laminated and protected! \r\n\r\nI have also created signs for the library and flag bookmarks that represent all the cultures of our school community. Student were sharing and not getting the practice time they needed. I told my students that we were going to try getting us more instruments though this project and they were so excited every time I would come in and tell them that someone had made a donation! \r\n\r\nIt was such an exciting day when we received the instruments from this project.
