I have a difficult time motivating some to finish their core class work, but others are happy to work - then get time to play the educational games . My students were so excited for the snack basket. It has been a great motivator to get the mystery assignment done and checked in. Students come into class each Friday, and are given a set of tasks to complete for each of their core subjects - one of which has been chosen as the mystery \"must do\" assignment for the day.\r\n\r\nThank you for adding to our classroom snack and treat basket!","fullyFundedDate":1746660086669,"projectUrl":"project/full-bellies-fast-learning/9188678/","projectTitle":"Full bellies = fast learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Turner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9833534"},{"teacherId":10026070,"projectId":9333142,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom! Because of your donations, my students now have engaging and hands-on tools to better understand the world around them and the impact humans can have on the environment.\r\n\r\nOur new groundwater table has been an incredible addition to our science lessons. Students have been able to visualize how water travels underground, how contamination can spread into wells and aquifers, and how human actions affect natural resources. They've also been fascinated to learn about aquifers, geysers, hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles in a way that feels real and meaningful.\r\n\r\nWe are equally excited about the new resources for our vermicomposting project. With the testing tools for pH, water levels, and temperature, along with the aeration tools, my students can now take on the role of real scientists as they care for our worm bins. The new poster has also been a fun and practical guide to help us know exactly what our worms can and cannot eat.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the cards and dice will allow us to create environmental games that will spark creativity and deepen environmental awareness. The students are already looking forward to playing these games and earning the treats you helped provide as fun rewards.\r\n\r\nI cant thank you enough for supporting myself and students in promoting awareness for the environment.","fullyFundedDate":1747148416848,"projectUrl":"project/water-and-conservation/9333142/","projectTitle":"Water and Conservation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Beckman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10026070"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_70999","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":990,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":66,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"22.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":70999,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jefferson Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jefferson Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/lakeview-public-school-district/jefferson-middle-school/70999"}
