Having access to snacks means that my students can have something to eat when they are hungry and then return their attention to learning. For third graders, something as simple as having a snack can make a big difference in their ability to focus, participate, and make it through the school day feeling comfortable and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw all of the snacks, they were incredibly excited! It was a fun moment because the students understood right away that someone had thought about them and wanted to make sure they had what they needed. \r\n\r\nWe will be using the donated snacks throughout the school year as part of our everyday classroom routine.. Having snacks available means that students do not have to worry about whether they brought something from home that day.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are simply to keep learning, growing, and making use of this generous donation throughout the school year. We will keep our snack supply organized and make sure students have opportunities to access what they need As the year progresses, I hope the students will come to see our classroom as a place where they are cared for, supported, and able to focus on doing their best.","fullyFundedDate":1762371795491,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-snacks/9833321/","projectTitle":"Classroom Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Goulet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9054985"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_72239","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":226,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":50,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":6,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":66.9,"schoolId":72239,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jefferson Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jefferson Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/holland-public-schools/jefferson-elementary-school/72239"}
