Our students use the vibration plate daily to help them relax and redirect to learning opportunities. They even are taking turns and sharing the resource without prompts from staff to take turns or share. In one event a student called their friend over from another center to join them to play.\r\nWhen they first saw the Vibration Plate one student push the power button to turn it on and them explored with curiosity what happens when they green button is pushed. The students like that it talks to them when it is first turned on and waiting to pair. Our students love the light overs that help reduce the affects of florescent lights. They enjoy exploring with the sensory mats and busy board. The students are taking turns and laughing when using the spinning rings; both on and off the post.\r\n\r\nWhen the students walked in the first day with the light covers the were in awe and then starting saying what was on the covers themselves. The students we curiosity but cautious with the other toys but will support from staff are learning to appropriately use the new materials. \r\n\r\nWe are continuing to learn and explore with our senses and engaging in cooperative and reciprocal play with peers. Our students enjoy the light covers, the learning book/activities, the balls, and the storage shelf.\r\n\r\nThe materials help use learn letters, colors, shapes, and animals. We also are learning put materials away where they belong with use of the storage shelf. \r\n\r\nWhen the students saw the light covers for the first time they smiles and said 'fish'. We students saw the shelves the wanted to explore everything stored in them. We are working on first/then and taking turns. Our student love the all materials we received from this project. \r\nWhen the saw the pillows and all their colors they we excited and wanted to try and sit on each one like 'Goldilocks' trying to find the on that was just right. They all were in awe of the projector and how large the picture was to see our learning songs and how they could/can interact with the learning activities during circle time. \r\nSharing a small space with limited viewing area is hard young children with individualized needs. Having a comfy seat, with a raised project stand, and an over head projector makes it easy to sit and see what is being taught while immersing/embracing students into their learning environment. \r\nOur next step in learning is to respect the space around the project.
