My 4th grade students and I are incredibly grateful for your support. These headphones have made a big difference in our classroom, especially when it comes to listening to online lessons and audiobooks. With each student having their own pair, they are able to concentrate better, stay focused, and avoid distractions during their work time. It's been such a helpful addition to our learning environment, and we truly appreciate it.\r\n\r\nThis project has had a meaningful impact on my students' daily learning. The headphones have made activities like online testing, assignments, and independent learning much smoother and more efficient. My kids love using them and are always excited to come into class and start working on their computers. Having access to this technology has not only improved their academic experience but also boosted their enthusiasm for learning. Thank you again for making this possible. My students really appreciate it!","fullyFundedDate":1746783013779,"projectUrl":"project/now-hear-this-3rd-grade/9147841/","projectTitle":"Now Hear This! 3rd Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Soto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9367651"},{"teacherId":3628678,"projectId":8750927,"letterContent":"From the moment, my second grade students heard that our carpet and headphones were funded, my kids were were highly anticipating the delivery. Figuring this would be like a Christmas present for me, but not so, it was for all of us. \r\n \r\nWe received the message over the intercom that a large delivery was on it's way. It was the carpet, new and rolled up tightly. As soon as the students saw it, they began cheering! We laid it out and some of the students ran to it and began doing snow angels.\r\n \r\nThey take great pride in enjoying a good book on a soft surface and having an alternate place to sit other than their seats. Our headphones have been an excellent noise reducer when they are working on their intervention activities. Many require programs that are interactive and listening is required to hear the sound of a letter or a word choice in a sentence.\r\n \r\nIt is with gratitude that I thank you, Chesmar Foundation and the SAISD Foundation, for funding \"Have a Seat\" for my second graders!","fullyFundedDate":1733280099204,"projectUrl":"project/have-a-seat/8750927/","projectTitle":"Have a Seat","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wente","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3628678"},{"teacherId":9799274,"projectId":8868655,"letterContent":"The Sphero Bolt has provided students with a hands-on learning experience, allowing them to apply key mathematical concepts like graphing, area, perimeter, and volume in a real-world context. By integrating Sphero robots into our city-building project, students moved beyond abstract problem-solving to actively designing and building a 3D city using TinkerCad. Once the city was constructed using magnetic tiles, they used the robots to navigate through their streets, bringing their learning to life. This experience not only reinforced their math skills but also introduced critical thinking, collaboration, and basic coding concepts.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is the opportunity to bring their creations to life and interact with them. Initially, they loved \"driving\" the Sphero robots manually through their 3D cities, but now they are even more excited to learn block programming. They're eager to see how they can control the robot's movements using code and are beginning to understand the power of programming. Watching the robot follow the precise commands they've coded is a thrilling and rewarding experience for them.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have truly flourished with this technology. One student who initially struggled with math concepts found new confidence when applying them in our hands-on project. Another student, who is usually quiet, became a leader during the coding phase, helping classmates debug their programs and improve their designs. This technology has allowed different students to shine in ways that traditional instruction sometimes doesn't, giving them new motivation and a deeper connection to their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1731705472628,"projectUrl":"project/applied-mathematics-in-5th-grade-classro/8868655/","projectTitle":"Applied Mathematics in 5th Grade Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gaucin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9799274"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9127","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":745,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":95,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":56.5,"schoolId":9127,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eloise Japhet Elementary on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eloise Japhet Elementary","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/san-antonio-independent-school-district/japhet-elementary-school/9127"}
