I was able to start the year with our new rug, and students LOVE it! We are all able to fit together when we have our morning meeting time every day, and we also hold whole-group math lessons, writing mini-lessons, and social studies discussions on our beautiful gathering spot! Unlike previous years, when my rug was too small, everyone has a space now!\r\n I know I've mentioned this before, but kindergarten is a different beast compared to other grade levels. Most of our time is spent AWAY from tables and desks because we are still focusing on movement while learning. We sing, we dance, and we play, but I'm also sneaking in learning every chance I get. I've always felt it is so important to have a special spot where students can gather and learn about classroom community. To have a spot that is bright and beautiful adds to our classroom in a subtle but important way. Thanks to you, we have a beautiful and comfortable spot! Thank you SO much for your kindness to our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1747609407332,"projectUrl":"project/a-magical-kindergarten-gathering-spot/9329947/","projectTitle":"A Magical Kindergarten Gathering Spot!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jordan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10023833"},{"teacherId":8387845,"projectId":9137337,"letterContent":"The materials you all helped to give my classroom have added a lot more fun for my students each day. The bubbles have been such a hit it many different scenarios whether it's to help support their sensory needs as well as just have some fun in the room. The other materials are used on a daily basis we had many opportunities to work on our problem solving skills and sharing skills because of them. My Students love the sensory lights and pads. It is an easy way for my students to self-regulate on their own. With the sensory lights they are able to change the colors and some like to make all of the colors different, like a rainbow.\r\n\r\nThe rug is a huge bonus! We have circle time quite often throughout the day and we use the bees on the rug as spots for the students to sit on. They also use it during free time to lay down and read, play games, and explore on their AAC Devices. Allowing time to explore on their AAC devices allows them to strengthen their skills to communicate on their own through the devices.\r\n\r\nMy kids love to do crafts! The drying rack always has projects on them. For a few of my students, art is a way to express themselves and self-regulate.\r\n\r\nWith a lot of my students coming from a low income community, the snacks that were donated have been a huge benefit so my students can have snacks throughout the day without parents having to worry about the cost of sending in snacks each day.\r\n\r\nAgain, my students and I are so grateful for each and everyone of you and your kindness to donate to my multi-needs classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1736273844964,"projectUrl":"project/help-my-non-verbal-students-communicate/8956283/","projectTitle":"Help My Non-Verbal Students Communicate & Thrive Within the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Erika","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9843856_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753110478181","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9843856"},{"teacherId":8387845,"projectId":8964871,"letterContent":"My students are absolutely loving the new flexible seating items and the voice output buttons.
