I must first start by saying, THANK YOU. \r\n\r\nI am a middle school music teacher, and much of what we work on is producing a characteristic sound on our instruments. The new iPad has allowed me to project a tuning app on my classroom board so students can visually check their intonation while they're playing. It gets the whole class engaged and they can cheer each other on when they notice they're playing perfectly in tune. \r\n\r\nOur school's speakers were damaged during the roof collapse and the portable speakers I purchased were not loud enough to be heard while our band was playing. This new speaker is LOUD and I can have a metronome playing in the background while we are running through our music. It has helped immensely with our sense of rhythm and timing.","fullyFundedDate":1727472322837,"projectUrl":"project/orange-bowl-committee-award-recipient/8815308/","projectTitle":"Orange Bowl Committee Award Recipient","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Luechauer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6992544"},{"teacherId":9166415,"projectId":7634842,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom! The materials have made a meaningful difference in how my students experience science. The moment they saw the new tools and equipment, their eyes lit up with excitement—they couldn't wait to explore, measure, and learn.\r\n\r\nWe began our \"Measuring Matters\" unit by diving into experiments that explore mass, weight, and volume. Using the new materials, students worked in small groups to measure a variety of objects, compare results, and discuss their findings. This hands-on approach made abstract concepts come alive and helped deepen their understanding of the science behind everyday things.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be applying our measuring skills to real-world challenges, such as designing a small container garden and determining soil, water, and space needs based on volume. These connections to everyday life are helping students see the relevance of what they're learning and feel more confident as young scientists.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this learning possible.
