Teachers and staff are now able to safely and warmly supervise our car rider line, even in the coldest weather. On those especially chilly mornings, students are able to line up without shivering, and our staff can focus fully on greeting each child with a smile instead of worrying about the freezing temperatures. One teacher even commented that the heaters made the entire process \"so much more welcoming\" for everyone involved.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they noticed the heaters set up outside! Several of them said things like, \"Wow, it feels so warm out here now!\" and \"I don't even mind waiting anymore.\" Their faces lit up when they realized that these heaters were there to keep them comfortable and cared for while they waited for their ride. It made them feel special knowing that someone cared enough to help with this part of their day.\r\n\r\nNow that our dismissal time is more comfortable, students are heading home ready to focus on their after-school reading, math practice, and family time instead of being worn out by the cold. Inside the classroom, we're currently working on a science unit about energy and heat transfer—students were immediately curious about how the heaters worked! This connection has sparked great discussions and hands-on experiments about energy, warmth, and how technology helps solve everyday problems. Your gift not only provided comfort but also inspired authentic curiosity in our science lessons.","fullyFundedDate":1741312199603,"projectUrl":"project/warm-welcome-ensuring-cozy-conditions-f/9033535/","projectTitle":"Warm Welcome: Ensuring Cozy Conditions For Our Students and Teachers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tutor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1827588_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1594063053417","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1827588"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13267","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1149,"numTeachers":71,"percentFrplEligible":65,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":61.0,"schoolId":13267,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Itawamba Attendance Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Itawamba Attendance Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/mississippi/itawamba-county-school-district/itawamba-attendance-ctr/13267"}
