For those with ADHD or sensory needs, having a comfortable and flexible seating option—rather than a traditional desk—has helped them stay more focused and engaged. Many students now ask if they can complete their independent work while sitting in the chair, and it's been wonderful to see how much more relaxed and motivated they are in this supportive environment.\r\n\r\nI also have an open-door policy for my students, and the bean bag chair has played a big role in that. When a student is having a rough time in another class or just needs a moment to decompress, they know they can come to my room, settle into the chair, and take a few minutes to reset. It's become a calming, safe space that helps prevent escalation and supports their emotional well-being.\r\n\r\nThe color printer has also been a game-changer. I've been able to create vibrant bulletin board displays focused on mindfulness and wellness—key components of our Social Emotional Learning initiatives. These visuals encourage students to reflect, breathe, and manage their emotions throughout the day. The printer has also enhanced my therapy materials, especially for students on the autism spectrum. Having full-color social scenarios and visual supports has made a significant difference in how they process and relate to the information.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make my room a more inclusive, welcoming, and therapeutic space for my students. Your support has truly made a difference in their daily lives, both academically and emotionally.","fullyFundedDate":1755735006132,"projectUrl":"project/comfy-cozy-and-colorful-speech-classro/9543459/","projectTitle":"Comfy, Cozy, and Colorful Speech Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Donovan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9529429_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1716555506255","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9529429"},{"teacherId":9656374,"projectId":9175329,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. Because of your kindness, our students now have access to essential supplies that have made a real difference in their learning experience—especially in math.\r\n\r\nThe pencils, colored pencils, tape, and bulletin board paper you provided have allowed students who previously came to school without basic materials to participate fully in our math lessons. Now, instead of worrying about what they don't have, students can focus on solving problems, showing their work, and engaging creatively with math concepts.\r\n\r\nThe colored pencils and bulletin board paper have also helped us create a vibrant, interactive classroom environment where students' work is proudly displayed. The tape and supplies are used daily for group activities, hands-on math stations, and projects that bring abstract concepts to life.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, students who once felt left behind now feel prepared and included.
