Previously, many of my students were excited for language arts centers, but struggled to safely access our classroom library with the school provided bookshelves in our building from 1923. This made it difficult for them to focus on their learning. \r\n\r\nThe donations you gave funded re-building our classroom library with safe and modern shelving in our classroom. I have seen a significantly higher number of students excited and hurrying to get to their language arts center and work with their peers. They have expressed to me many times over the past few days how much they enjoy their new library shelves and working together in the library. \r\n\r\nThe students have been enjoying them so much, they asked if they could read in the library space you funded during indoor recess with their friends! The supplies we received have helped ensure that students have access to the tools and materials they need to be successful each day, including students whose families may not have been able to provide all of the necessary school supplies. Having these resources readily available has helped create a more equitable learning environment where every student can participate and feel prepared.\r\n\r\nThis project also allowed me to add more books to our classroom reading center, which has been especially meaningful to me. In a world where technology often competes for children's attention, I have noticed that many students are not always as excited about picking up a book. As someone who genuinely loves reading, one of my goals has been to share that love and excitement with my students. Having a wider variety of engaging books available has helped pique their interest and encouraged them to spend more time exploring and enjoying the reading center.\r\n\r\nBecause of the generosity of those who supported this project, my students now have access to both essential classroom tools and books that encourage them to discover the joy of reading. Seeing their excitement as they use new supplies and eagerly choose books from our reading center has been incredibly rewarding.
