We have an extremely busy classroom full of amazing students, but time can be hard to find. The time that we have together is spent together. \r\n\r\nSo, let's get down to business. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. Our students this year absolutely love books and these new ones are no exception. We love to read as a group, in small groups, and the students by themselves. Our bookshelf is constantly being rearranged because the books are so well-loved. \r\n\r\nEach week, we focus on a specific core word that correlates with commonly used words in our everyday language. The majority of our students use AAC devices (such as an iPad with a picture-based vocabulary). We read books focusing on these core words, listen to songs with these core words, write our own sentences with the core word, and play a variety of games with the core word. \r\n\r\nWith all of that being said, THANK YOU AGAIN for building up our classroom library!","fullyFundedDate":1727937904796,"projectUrl":"project/build-our-library/8844638/","projectTitle":"Build our Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Briggs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7438618_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y1&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1620062225380","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7438618"},{"teacherId":9907551,"projectId":9080079,"letterContent":"On behalf of our students and educators at Indian Trail High School and Academy, I want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of four sets of Timekettle AI translator earbuds. Your support has made an immediate and meaningful impact in our classrooms, breaking down language barriers and making learning more accessible for all.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students who are English learners, understanding lectures and participating in discussions can be daunting. The Timekettle earbuds have transformed this experience. With real-time translation, students can now follow along in their native language, engage more confidently in classroom conversations, and actively participate in their education. \r\n\r\nOne student in particular, L.O.R, has especially benefited from this technology. A bright and eager learner, she previously struggled to keep up with fast-paced discussions in U.S. History with content heavy vocabulary. With the Timekettle earbuds, she can now comprehend lessons. She also has realized her teacher is actually quite humorous, which was previously not well understood. \r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for our students is the intuitive nature of the technology. Unlike traditional translation apps that require stopping and typing, these earbuds work in real time, allowing them to remain engaged without disruption. This innovation fosters inclusion and ensures that language is no longer a barrier to learning.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is not just about providing technology; it's about empowering students with the tools they need to succeed. Thank you for believing in our mission and investing in the future of our students.
