However, thanks to our AMAZING, WONDERFUL, STUPENDOUS Donors, we will have both PCs and our Flight Simulators up and running very soon! :-) \r\n We are hosting a \"Family STEAM Night\" this evening where we will show off our fully operational Flight Simulator (among the many other features of our STEAM Lab)! :-) \r\n Our 2 new PCs will be ESSENTIAL for MUCH, MUCH more than just Flight Simulation! :-) Our Students will learn Coding, Robotics, 3D Printing, Video/Photo editing, and they will research & learn about ALL of the topics they are most passionate about! :-) \r\n There are no words to express how thankful our Staff and Students are to our Donors and everyone who supports our School (no matter what form it takes)! You don't know how many students stop by the library (the very middle point of our school) to ask for snacks and food--and the extraordinary amount of granola bars that you sent us has helped them--they do get snacks during their day, but it's nice to have some for the extra hungry kids!\r\n\r\nThe students have been digging the new reading materials as well! More literature in our library is always a plus! Our School has a giant plexiglass tube in the foyer where each Classroom deposits the Pompoms they have earned throughout the week. It was quite a surprise to get our requests ACTUALLY fulfilled! It's almost a like a dream! Library classes have been going strong--the students' excitement and energy slowly building up until holiday break, where it culminated into a frenzy, understandably. Their energy and positivity was contagious--the kids were attentive, but distracted. They loved all the new literature in the library!!\r\n\r\nA lot of the books I've read to the younger students out-loud; some of the donated books have also been checked out by other teachers to use in or for class. I also lead an after-school program called 'culture through diversity' and read a number of the new books that were donated, and created some projects with them in mind. Your charitable donation are impacting our students in real time, and will also be available in this library for them, for years to come. \r\n\r\nThank you for your kindness, your altruism is present in each of these books (via a 'donated by' label) so students will know how loved and cared for they are--by the people in our community, AND the beautiful humans that surround them. I apologize for not having any photos to show you, but I'm very protective of their privacy--and I do not feel comfortable posting them online.","fullyFundedDate":1730990746421,"projectUrl":"project/all-for-my-students-personal-learning-e/8712836/","projectTitle":"All for My Student's Personal Learning Experiences","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9712565_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y206&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731517972099","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9712565"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_49241","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":90,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":100,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":61.5,"schoolId":49241,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Indian Island Bia School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Indian Island Bia School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maine/-bureau-of-indian-affairs-/indian-island-bia-school/49241"}
