Students are using the upgraded display and audio setup during leadership workshops, agriscience presentations, and daily bell-ringer discussions. One of the first major uses came during our Animal Science unit on feedstuffs and nutrition. Students presented their feed ration breakdowns to the class using the enhanced screen clarity and sound, and the quality of discussion that followed was on a whole new level. They could clearly compare ration ingredients, see detailed charts, and walk through each step of their calculations with confidence.\r\nThe equipment has also been a game-changer for our FFA leadership students. During their workshop practice for district events, they used the A/V system to display visual aids, run interactive team-building slides, and record themselves for self-assessment—something we simply couldn't do well before.\r\n\r\nTheir reaction was priceless. When they saw the new A/V setup installed and ready to go, several students immediately said, \"Finally—we can actually see everything from the back of the room!\" Others were surprised at how crisp the images and videos looked compared to our old equipment. A few of our younger FFA members even asked if this meant they could start recording their Creed recitations and speeches in higher quality (the answer was yes!). When the dry-erase board was adhered to the old board, the kids stated \"Its not blurred by old stains!\"\r\nThere was genuine excitement—students could tell that someone believed in them enough to invest in their learning space. It added a visible sense of pride to the room.\r\n\r\nRight now, students are preparing for upcoming FFA competitions and wrapping up several major units. Animal Science students will soon begin their feed ration formulation project, where the A/V equipment will help them present their ration plans using photos, nutrient charts, and comparison tables. Our leadership and public speaking students are recording practice sessions with the new system so they can review their pacing, gestures, and delivery.\r\nWe also have agriscience research students using the A/V setup to prepare polished presentations for district and state competitions—something that requires clarity, precision, and strong visuals. The ability to display high-quality graphics, data tables, and step-by-step research methods is invaluable.\r\nThanks to your support, our students now have a professional-grade learning environment that matches their ambition. You've helped elevate not just the technology in the room, but the confidence and capabilities of every student who walks through the door.","fullyFundedDate":1755733285857,"projectUrl":"project/reviving-visual-learning-a-fresh-start/9575519/","projectTitle":"Reviving Visual Learning: A Fresh Start for Our Classroom Display","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9085055_orig.jpg?crop=2320,2320,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1687891194294","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9085055"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_88364","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":149,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":25,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"7.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":88364,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Imbler Junior Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Imbler Junior Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oregon/imbler-school-district-11/imbler-junior-senior-high-school/88364"}
