The new laptop provides the processing power needed to make learning hands-on:\r\n\r\nStudents successfully leveraged AI for research as they prepared for our Project-Based Learning exhibit on the Foundations of the Federal Government and the Three Branches, helping them quickly gather and synthesize information on complex topics.\r\n\r\nThey use AI during regular class time to find answers to complex questions and stimulate new ideas for their creative art projects.\r\n\r\nPersonally, I have used the computer and AI tools to bring their writing alive, generating AI images that vividly illustrate the stories and narratives they create.\r\n\r\nDeveloping Critical Skills: This project is about more than just technology; it is about equipping my students with the 21st-century skills necessary for success. They are actively practicing collaboration, digital design, and critical problem-solving as they navigate AI applications. Crucially, we have used the AI technology to hold discussions about key concepts like data centers, the rapid rate of technology advancement, and how data is being digitized and stored in the cloud. We ended up using the materials to make our own planets after learning about planets and how they function. They also wrote and typed up their information and used persuasive writing on why YOU should visit their planet. They had a blast, learned galaxies of information and their presentations were out of this world! \r\n The learners were so excited when we got the huge boxes with our wishlist in them! If it weren't for the support of General Motors, my learners and parents would not have had an as enriched experience as they had. GM and the other donors, such as myself, know our children deserve better, and the teachers cannot do it all!
