The materials purchased with these funds have helped transform our classroom! As we have read our required books, we use these materials to process our knowledge and understanding before, during, and after the text. \r\nBefore the book, we create plot diagrams, we create and collaborate on posters with real world connections to the background of our texts, and create one pagers of symbols and themes to keep an eye out for when we begin reading.\r\nWhile we read, students are able to unleash their creativity with bookmarks, sticky notes, and markers! We use transparent pockets to hold some of the key ideas on our desks, and we love to post up student exemplars on our bulletin with pins purchased!\r\nAfter the book, we do creative projects to help gather our learning in one place, and the colorful post its and markers are always a big hit.\r\nAs a teacher, I want to thank you for making my work just a bit easier --- not having to worry about limiting my students thinking and engagement due to limited materials.
