Your donation makes it possible for me to use a staple without using my own money.\r\n\r\nThe spin chair is a hug hit in the classroom. It is highly motivating and each student is eager to earn it during the day. It creates a positive reinforcement and helps students learn to take responsibility in their learning. Students must complete certain lessons before they earn time with the chair. It assist with other students who need to complete non-preferred lessons; they know that once the lesson is done they have earn time with the chair. The chair is also a calming strategy. Children with autism require movement and spinning is a natural desired activity, which then creates a calming behavior. My students mental abilities range from preschool to kindergarten even though they are in kindergarten to third grade. In the photos are thank you cards they created.
