We traveled to North Carolina and experienced first-hand the activities we read about in the books your donations helped to purchase. \r\n\r\nWe visited Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the Wright Brothers National Memorial, Whalehead Lodge, Wild Horse Adventures, Jockey's Ridge State Park, Roanoke Island Festival Park, and Tryon Palace. Students and sponsors alike learned about the rich history of the area. Favorites included touring the Wright Brothers memorial and the amazing lighthouses. Another fun study included learning about Blackbeard the Pirate.\r\n\r\nThank you for allowing our students to venture out of our rural area through book study before we actually traveled there and allowed the study to come alive.
