These chairs are so versatile and meet my students sensory and movement needs in so many ways. Their sturdy design makes it easy for students to place papers inside without bending or tearing them, and the compartments are strong enough to handle daily use. Families are now able to see their child's progress and classroom updates more consistently, which has strengthened the home-school connection.\r\n\r\nThe soundproof headphones have also made a big impact on my classroom. They help my students stay calm and focused at different points throughout the day, especially during independent work or times when they need a quiet moment to reset. Several students use them to block out background noise so they can better concentrate on learning. The headphones have truly helped create a more peaceful environment where everyone can do their best work.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your generous donation. The mailboxes and headphones have made such a meaningful difference in our classroom. Having interesting and engaging books is so important in developing lifelong readers. \r\nOne of the skills we curate in class is being proactive, advocating for change, and making our classroom and world a better place. Many of the people in the biographies are amazing examples of people who worked to improve their lives and the lives of those around them. In \"A Take Charge Girl\" we learned about Jeannette Rankin the first woman elected to congress. Charles Parker was a black botanist and collector in \"Rooting for Plants.\" He was a veteran and scientist who had a huge impact in mycology and laid groundwork in helping Black Americans and women becoming scientists. \r\nIn \"Fighting for Yes,\" Judith Heumann worked to change disability laws allowing her to attend school and later work as a teacher.\" She helped to get Section 504 passed making it possible for millions of Americans to have access to Government funded places and resources and foundational to the IDEA legislation. \"Lizzie Demands a Seat\" taught us about a women who fought for Streetcar RIghts. She reminded us of Rosa Parks and helped us learn the difference between State Laws and Federal Laws. \r\nSo many of the titles you purchased help us understand more about history and inspire us to be innovative, persistent, courageous, and love learning and reading while doing it. The students are thrilled with the new supplies, and they're excited to dive into their projects, whether it's using new books for independent reading, hands-on STEM kits, or materials that allow them to better engage with math and science concepts.\r\n\r\nIt is because of donors like you that we can continue to provide our students with the tools they need to succeed. Your contribution not only improves their academic journey but also sends a powerful message about the importance of community support in education. It is truly inspiring to know that there are individuals who care so deeply about students' success.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. For example, I was able to purchase a \"pop-it\" multiplication table that helped them with the multiplication facts and met their sensory desires to physically manipulate something. I was also able to purchase some stretchy bands for their seats that allowed them to move their legs without distracting others and meeting their needs to move while seating. These resources have been transformative in fostering higher-level thinking skills while making learning an engaging and enjoyable experience. Each game seamlessly weaves in problem-solving, social skills such as handling winning and losing, and healthy competition, allowing students to develop these essential skills in a natural and meaningful way. After every game, we take time to discuss our learning, reflect on how our thinking has been challenged or has grown, and celebrate our progress. The excitement and critical engagement these activities bring to our sessions have enriched not only the students' academic journeys but also their social-emotional growth.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects of this project has been its reach beyond my group sessions. Every teacher in our school has access to these activities and games, enabling even more students to benefit from the opportunities for collaboration, creativity, and fun. Additionally, families can borrow these resources to use at home, further bridging the gap between school and home learning.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw these new resources, their excitement was palpable. The best part? They're learning important skills without even realizing it—to them, it feels like pure fun! These moments of engagement affirm the impact your support has had on their learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making all of this possible.
