These hands-on tools have already made a huge impact during circle time and small-group learning.\r\n\r\nIn Pre-K, math is all about building understanding through movement, visuals, and play. With these materials, my students are learning to recognize numbers, count with one-to-one accuracy, understand quantities, and build early addition and subtraction skills. The giant ten-frame helps them see numbers in a concrete way, while the spinning wheel turns math into an exciting game where every student wants a turn!\r\n\r\nOur circle time has come alive with cheers, counting, and lots of \"Let's do it again!\" Students spin the wheel, say the number out loud, and place that many counters in the ten-frame. This practice strengthens number sense, subitizing, and early cardinality — all essential building blocks for future math success.\r\n\r\nEven students who are usually hesitant during math are now confident, engaged, and eager to participate. They are working together, celebrating each other's successes, and developing a positive mindset toward learning numbers.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and helping us make math meaningful, joyful, and exciting. Just like the leaves are changing outside, we are watching our students grow and develop new skills each day thanks to you! 🍁\r\n\r\nIn Pre-K, pretend play isn't just play — it's powerful learning. With the materials provided by this project, my students are practicing important early financial-literacy skills such as earning tokens, making choices, saving for rewards, and understanding the value of hard work. They are also building social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, communicating clearly, and solving problems together — all while having fun!\r\n\r\nOur classroom has turned into a buzzing \"little community\" where students take on fall-themed roles like pumpkin patch workers, cozy café servers, and mini-market helpers. They earn tokens for following routines, showing kindness, and being responsible, and then proudly \"shop\" for classroom rewards. It has been amazing to watch their confidence grow as they make decisions, count tokens, and work toward their goals.\r\n\r\nSome of our learners who were once hesitant to engage in group play are now eagerly participating, greeting their peers at the \"register\" and joyfully cheering when they have enough tokens to \"buy\" a prize. These materials have already made a meaningful difference in my students' learning and emotional growth. In Pre-K, big feelings are part of every day, so having tools that help little learners identify and understand their emotions has been such a gift.\r\n\r\nWith these new books and visuals, my students are learning skills such as naming emotions, recognizing body clues, self-regulation strategies, and showing kindness and empathy toward others. We practice using calm-down strategies, taking turns, and talking through our feelings instead of reacting. These stories help make social-emotional vocabulary real and accessible for young children.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is interactive and joyful — we act out the characters, pause to talk about their feelings, and connect the lessons to real-life classroom situations. Students love pointing to the emotion \"spots\" and telling us how they feel, and we build time into our day to revisit these books during morning meetings, calm corners, and small-group activities.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were once shy about sharing their emotions now eagerly raise their hands to tell the class which \"spot\" they feel and why. I have also seen students comfort one another by referring to the strategies from the books — a sure sign the lessons are sticking!\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and helping us build a foundation of emotional awareness, confidence, and kindness. When I saw these magnetic blocks, I knew they would do the trick, but I had no idea how much fun the kids would actually have them. The students from pre-K all the way to fourth grade really enjoy using the magnetic blocks as a station. Some students write their names with the blocks, some make elaborate castles or fortresses. And many students like to work together, problem solve, and collaborate to create their own little buildings or towns. A few students made squares that we could put our faces behind and take pictures. It was really fun. I took a picture of myself behind one of the squares as an example.
