This project has impacted all 400 students here at Parsons. \r\n\r\nWe have used the expo markers daily to practice writing rhythms, as well as the cardstock to make manipulatives for all grade levels. Our headphones even come in handy when we are doing listening examples, so that students can choose their own adventure when it comes to which composers they want to listen to. \r\n\r\nAll students are working on practicing rhythms they know, and learning new ones along the way. Because of your generous donation, I was able to walk into a classroom at a new (to me) campus, it made the transition of closing one school and moving to another easier.","fullyFundedDate":1746785668674,"projectUrl":"project/music-classroom-makeover/9287233/","projectTitle":"Music Classroom Makeover!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McCutcheon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9000798_orig.jpg?crop=2731,2732,x0,y227&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745719677859","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9000798"},{"teacherId":9653554,"projectId":9374172,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my classroom has been filled with the magic of timeless stories. Thanks to your support, my students now have access to classics like Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Aesop's Fables, The War of the Worlds, Gulliver's Travels, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, A Long Way from Chicago, A Year Down Yonder, No Promises in the Wind, White Fang, and The Call of the Wild.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, this is their first opportunity to hold and read these enduring works. These books open doors to new worlds—sparking imaginations, building empathy, and showing them that great stories never lose their power, no matter when they were written. Watching their excitement as they dive into these adventures has been incredible. They are discovering what it means to laugh with characters, to wrestle with challenges, and to see themselves in stories written generations ago.\r\n\r\nYour gift has done more than supply books—it has planted a love of reading that will continue to grow long after this school year ends. My students are not only becoming stronger readers, but also lifelong learners who will carry these classics with them as part of their own story.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this possible. Your generosity has given my students the chance to step into enchanted forests, voyage beneath the sea, and journey to far-off lands—all from the pages of a book.
