My students and I have been using them in a variety of ways to enhance their learning experiences. One specific assignment that stands out is our recent writing prompt where we used sequencing to write stories. The new materials, including the easel, anchor chart paper and charging station, allowed the students to get access to information that supported them during the writing lessons and a safer way to charge their iPads.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their reactions were full of excitement and surprise! They were eager to dive into the new resources, and I saw a noticeable increase in their engagement. The new materials made the learning process feel even more real and meaningful to them.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the next steps for this project involve having the students use the chart paper to solve 3-act math activities and use the easel to present their findings to the class. They'll be collaborating in small groups to addition and or subtraction story problems. It's amazing to see how these resources have fostered both a deeper understanding of the subject and the development of important teamwork and communication skills.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you to the donors for making this all possible!","fullyFundedDate":1729210512941,"projectUrl":"project/a-community-of-learners/8692624/","projectTitle":"A Community of Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tapia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4931489_orig.png?crop=720,720,x0,y163&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724359555545","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4931489"},{"teacherId":6768378,"projectId":8775576,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in providing art supplies for our students. Every day we gather in the Music Circle after our returning to our classroom from recess. It is a wonderful way to calm our bodies down from recess, build community as a class, and create together. Each day has a different theme (song, egg shakers, scarves, rhythm sticks, and finger puppets). We are working on different musical and rhythmic concepts with all of these tools, as well as developing a knowledge of and affinity for music across the world. I look forward to many years of kindergarten Music Circles and am anxious to see how these Circles will grow/change with time and as I gain more experience as a teacher.\r\n\r\nThe attached photos are a sampling of thank you notes from the students, in which they describe and illustrate their favorite part of the Music Circles.
