Teachers comment on how convenient it is. I'm no longer tied to a table with cables. I can freely walk around and assist students. Students comment on how open the room feels. They love being about to pass around the teacher computer and participate in activities on the projector. We can also project student work from iPads. The projector has a short throw image, so students can stand in front of the whiteboard without casting shadows on the image. Other visiting adults, such as the district tech team, are raving about the projector. They love it so much that they are promoting it to other teachers in the whole district. When I looped up to 5th grade from 4th grade a couple years ago as well as teaching only ELA I knew it gave me an opportunity to try some things I have been wanting to do for years but never felt the time was right when I was teaching both math and reading. This year I was able to have no name tags on desks and also move to full flexible seating in my classroom. Each table in my room is at a different height and has a different seating option. I have wanted wobble stools for years but the price has kept them out of my classroom. Thanks to this project I was able to get wobble stools for my 6th table and the kids love them. Students move day to day to different tables which gives all students the option to use them.\r\n\r\nDuring COVID my mental health was greatly impacted in a positive way by the board gaming I got into. I have wanted to bring my joy of gaming to students and this year I started up a board gaming club. I wanted to get games with as many different modern day board game mechanisms as possible for them to experience. I was able to reach out to many board game companies over the summer and received several donations, but I was still in need of a few mechanisms I really wanted in my collection. I have been slowly rolling out all of the games I have acquired. The students are loving many games from this project already. I began with 5th graders and now we are inviting 4th graders into the club which is allowing many 5th graders to take up more of a leadership/instructor role as they will help teach games now as well as learn new ones from me.","fullyFundedDate":1723162613073,"projectUrl":"project/seating-and-games/8570127/","projectTitle":"Seating and Games","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Wilz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4472261_orig.jpg?crop=643,643,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693085437786","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/wiscowilz"},{"teacherId":8898707,"projectId":9183979,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for your generous contribution to restock our classroom and emergency supplies.
