My students come from many different backgrounds and bring so many unique experiences to our community. Even though they are naturally curious and excited to learn, we haven't always had the resources to help them explore science in hands-on ways. Your generosity has made it possible for my students to have real scientific tools and experiences that connect to who they are and what they are interested in.\r\n\r\nWhen the STEM supplies arrived, students were able to see science in a new way, literally! Students were able to look through the microscopes for the very first time and examine the parts of a cell as we move further into understanding photosynthesis. In the future, we now have the tools to examine real specimens, observe cells and microorganisms, and ask questions driven by curiosity. Watching them work together, share discoveries, and use real lab tools has helped them start to see themselves even more as scientists. I can see their confidence growing as they realize that science is something they can do and enjoy.\r\n\r\nWe will keep using these materials as we explore new science projects together, from learning about ecosystems to investigating real-world problems. These tools will help students design their own experiments, collect data, and connect what they learn in class with what they see in their own lives. I believe that having access to these resources helps students feel proud of their work and more confident in their abilities.
