We now have the ability to use multiple screens in the classroom and is it is a game changer. What I have been doing is keeping a slideshow for necessary skills so that when a student has a question I could just pull up that particular slide that teaches the skill they are inquiring about. This saves valuable time and energy because if I had to explain the skill without a visual, it would be more difficult for the students to understand. Each day for a do now, the students are asked to complete one prompt, but some want to go further and do more! Providing a journal that asks the students to reflect about who they are, what their goals are, questions about real life situations, and others engages the students. The result is students are writing more and want to practice speaking in English more, all which pushes stamina and encourages socialization that will provide the skills necessary for when they leave high school.\r\n\r\nMy students are the future, and you are the change agents that help them become our promise.","fullyFundedDate":1751063020971,"projectUrl":"project/me-myself-and-i/9238237/","projectTitle":"Me, Myself, and I","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp276999_orig.jpg?crop=1332,1332,x75,y515&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1649280773420","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/sara-jackson"},{"teacherId":10259143,"projectId":9711426,"letterContent":"I want to take a moment to truly thank you for believing in my students and in the mission of our Physical Education program. Your generosity means more than just new equipment or supplies—it represents opportunities, confidence, and experiences that will shape the way my students view themselves, their health, and their ability to succeed.\r\n\r\nAt our school, many students face challenges outside of the classroom. For some, PE is the one place during the day where they can release stress, feel free, and discover what their bodies are capable of. It is also often the place where they learn the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline—skills that go far beyond sports. Having access to the right equipment and resources allows me to create a safe and supportive environment where every student, regardless of skill level or background, can participate and grow.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students will now have the tools they need to stay active, learn new skills, and develop healthier habits. Something as simple as having enough basketballs for each group, cones to set up stations, or nets that are safe and functional makes a huge difference. These resources not only allow me to run engaging lessons but also give students the chance to feel included and motivated. When students feel prepared and supported, they push themselves further, they take risks, and they begin to see physical activity not as a requirement, but as something joyful and empowering.\r\n\r\nYour donation also helps me model the value of community. I get to show my students that people outside of our school believe in them and want to see them succeed. That lesson is powerful. When young people realize they are supported by a larger community, they begin to dream bigger and believe that they are capable of achieving more. Your gift sends that message loud and clear.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students, I want you to know that this support will be felt every single day. Whether it's a student who finally gets the chance to practice a skill without having to wait for equipment, or a shy student who gains confidence by being able to contribute to a team, these moments of growth will be made possible because of you. Your generosity provides the foundation for lifelong lessons in health, resilience, and self-belief.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students not only the physical resources they need but also the encouragement and hope that comes with knowing someone cares about their future. I am deeply grateful for your kindness and for the impact you are making in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1758074659933,"projectUrl":"project/breathe-safe-play-strong/9711426/","projectTitle":"Breathe Safe Play Strong","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mike","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10259143_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758075868743","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10259143"},{"teacherId":9470704,"projectId":8930703,"letterContent":"My kids are happy to have new books in the classroom thanks to you. The students received their mindfulness journals and now every day in class, the five to ten minutes is dedicated to them doing a page in their journals. This has led to students practicing breathing, stepping back, increasing their writing stamina, and opening up more as they are able to take a few minutes for themselves each day. It has only been three days, but I can see the students are happier coming to class knowing they are going to get a few minutes to decompress from their day. This has also resulted in them being more engaged in the lesson.\r\n\r\nThe iPad had been a tremendous help as students are sharing the device for research when looking up historical images related to the poems we are reading, or logging in to their Zoom session for their online college course. Everyone has been collegial in sharing and the students are appreciative of having a device that does not lag or get stuck.\r\n\r\nFourth Wing just came in yesterday and I will be working with the ELA teachers to see if we can create a small book club.
