Students were able to use the ChompSaw to create unique shields with their Coat of Arms, and helmets tailored to their personality and family history. Students loved that they were able to use the ChompSaw to cut in any direction and that creating their ideas from cardboard was so much easier to cut and make designs. Students were able to control the arc and shape because cutting with the ChompSaw could be used to cut in directions they were unable to obtain with scissors. Students said they loved that instead of just drawing and coloring their ideas, they were able to cut pieces to create a model that wasn't just straight lines or a box shape. \r\n\r\nThe ChompSaw was able to provide access to hands on learning tools to stimulate creativity and enabled students to design and build puzzles, games, art, and various simple machines. Students especially enjoyed designing and cutting drawbridges, castle designs, arrow loops, and the surrounding architecture of Middle Aged castles and villages. It was exciting to hear the enthusiasm of students as they modified their designs due to the ability to create anything at all due to your amazing donation which allowed me to purchase two ChompSaws for my students. \r\n\r\nOur entire school is benefiting from your donation. My students showed the music teacher how to use the ChompSaw and are helping her create design sets for the upcoming Christmas program at school. This has been a tremendous blessing to our campus and very much appreciated by students and staff alike.","fullyFundedDate":1755631579617,"projectUrl":"project/tools-of-the-trade/9584827/","projectTitle":"Tools of the Trade","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Musgrove","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4327905_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753126880676","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4327905"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_8927","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":536,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":20,"percentWhite":29,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":8927,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about High Country Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"High Country Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/eagle-mountain-saginaw-ind-sch-dist/high-country-elementary-school/8927"}
