The markers were used for a mini-project where students created colorful geometric pictures, designing unique patterns with their color choices. This gave them a chance to bring creativity into math while reinforcing concepts like shapes, symmetry, and structure. The laminating paper has also been useful for preserving their work, allowing us to display projects around the room and even reuse practice materials like task cards. The charging station, with its extra outlets, has been a game-changer since we only had one working outlet before. Now, students can keep their Chromebooks charged and ready for our interactive math activities without worrying about running out of battery mid-lesson.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are continuing to use these resources in upcoming lessons, especially as we move into units that connect algebra and geometry. Students will use the markers again for visual projects that show the connection between equations and graphs, and the laminating paper will allow me to make reusable practice stations. The charging station will keep supporting their daily Chromebook use for interactive activities and assessments. These resources have truly helped build a more engaging and functional classroom environment. With the $200 gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers, I've been able to purchase curriculum materials and resources specifically adapted for English Language Learners in Algebra. These materials are already making a significant impact on my students' learning experiences.\r\n\r\nMany of my students are new to the country and are navigating both the challenges of learning a new language and mastering Algebra concepts. The resources I've purchased provide scaffolds like visual aids, simplified language, and engaging practice activities that help break down complex ideas into manageable steps. These tools not only build their confidence in math but also strengthen their English skills.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most about these new materials is how approachable and interactive they are. For instance, activities with guided examples and clear visuals make them feel like they can succeed without being overwhelmed. It's been rewarding to see their faces light up when they understand something they initially thought was too hard.\r\n\r\nOne particular student, who arrived this year with very limited English, has made tremendous strides thanks to these resources. Having math problems presented with visual supports and key vocabulary highlighted has allowed them to grasp concepts they couldn't before. They've become more engaged in class and now volunteer to share their answers—a big step for them!\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped my students feel more included and capable, and I'm incredibly grateful.
