Your donation supported students having their own headphones in class. Students have online programs that require for them to listen carefully to be able to respond correctly. \r\n\r\nIn my classroom we rotate to complete center activities daily. Technology center students log into their assigned program, and work on lessons. Every student may be working at a different level, so the noise without headphones made it difficult for students to pay close attention to their lesson. My students have been able to focus and remain engaged with their program by using the headphones. \r\n\r\nThe growth we are seeing as a result to students having the headphones is good. The boxes were delivered to our classroom and students couldn't wait to see what was inside. The white board, markers and erasers were needed in the classroom because every student has a board, marker and eraser. Students can quickly respond, erase, take their board to centers, and move around to complete task easily. We play games where he have to quickly answer and hold up their boards to show what they know. \r\n\r\nAlso, I am able to walk around and see what students are writing and monitor task easily. During whole group we use the boards a lot for students to quickly write a response, or answer a question, and I can see what they are doing. The magnetic boards and letters has had a great impact on my students. When I showed them the boards and letters, my students were so excited. They wanted to use them right away. I had to prepare some center directions and items for them to do with the boards. \r\n\r\nThe boards are being used as a center activity for my students. They have sight words, and phonics weekly. I change out the activity cards and directions, but the students are remaining engaged with the materials. Students that typically struggle are making progress with the hands-on practice and repetition of making the words. The boards are larger, so students work in pairs and help other students out.
