A day in fourth grade is always busy, being able to access these books more efficiently makes a world of difference. There is so much conversation being had among my fourth graders, centered around these activities. They are eager to get to the classroom on time, and get right to work! As a starting point, we unboxed the materials together and discussed the skills that would be worked on as they worked with these new tools. My students were fascinated at the many ways these toys, games, and activities would help them to develop so many social, emotional and cognitive skills! This carpet has had a positive impact on my students and our classroom environment that is immeasurable. The carpet is clean and welcoming. Having a comfortable place for students to gather during both whole group and small group instruction is what makes for a productive classroom. This cozy space is used often as students work on skills while collaborating with their peers.
