And with only 45 minute class periods and 3 minutes time between each class that leaves very little flexible time to do a proper clean up. To someone who has no clue it seems like such a strange thing to ask for. A case of Tub'O'Towels... Really? But, I'm not even kidding, when I run out, my students probably get more upset than me. These make clean up SO MUCH EASIER and SO MUCH QUICKER leaving us with so much more valuable time during class to devote to working. These also help eliminate more of that scratchy white build up that is left behind on top of the work tables by most other clean up products when we are cleaning up during our plaster projects so these towels are literal gold in the art room if you can't tell by the way I am describing them.\r\nIt is all thanks to Power Home Remodeling that we have these as they are the ones who FULLY FUNDED this project for us... I had fully convinced myself that the project wasn't going to get its funding and I'd either have to find some cheap solution for cleaning this year or go broke buying these all year and last minute these guys stepped in. I can't explain the joy I felt when I woke up to the email so I can't even imagine the looks on my kids faces when they see a whole big case of them, knowing we won't be running out this year. They were even more thrilled when I told them that it was all for them. \r\nExcited to let them start to give the materials a try I chose to bring it out on a day when my Gen Ed students were finalizing a project and didn't need much help from me. This let me be able to take the time and be with them and the Paraprofessionals and explain all about our new cart, where everything was, and how we would be using it. Rather than specify what they were to use, I allowed the Paras to follow the lead of the students to see where their interests were. Would it be the sensory bin full of fidgets? The magnetic bead drawing boards? The Color forms? \r\nI stood back and observed, seeing what excited them most. My hope is to see what excited them most so that I can continue to grow my collection with the things that they enjoy. I was so glad to see that each of my students mostly gravitated towards different things... but the overall winner. The magnetic drawing boards. The one item that was a last minute add when I was searching for a regular drawing board and figured, hmmm, these look different. Not only were they fun for drawing, they also had a sensory experience in pushing the beads in and out as well as shaking the boards to hear the lose beads move inside the boards. It actually had reached a point where the paras had to encourage them to move on to try a new item. \r\nI know for sure this cart will be a total game changer for how my art room will function, especially in those tough moments when some may need a bit of a break. Chromacryl is our favorite brand for quality, opacity, and coverage! It's important to have a variety of hues for students to choose from. It's one of the materials on our supply order that is most costly, with prices rising for every material.
