Because of you, our students now have access to resources that are making a meaningful difference in their learning, regulation, and overall school experience each day.\r\n\r\nWe are using these new materials in multiple ways—during core instruction, small-group learning, sensory breaks, and as calming tools throughout the day. One especially powerful moment occurred during a math lesson when a student who typically struggles to stay engaged independently chose a sensory tile during instruction. With that support, the student remained focused, participated confidently, and completed the task with pride. Moments like this remind us that access to the right tools can truly unlock learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. Their eyes lit up as they explored the textures, colors, and possibilities. Many students asked when they could use them again, and several independently selected items to help themselves calm, refocus, or re-engage—skills we work hard to build every day.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our next steps include intentionally embedding these resources into Tier 1 instruction so students can access them proactively, not just reactively. We are also teaching students how to independently choose tools that best support their learning and emotional regulation. These skills will help them not only in our classroom, but across all learning environments.\r\n\r\nBy contributing to this project, you gave our donors a true peek into our classroom—and more importantly, you gave our students tools that help them feel safe, supported, and successful. We are incredibly grateful for your belief in our students and your investment in their growth.\r\n\r\nWith sincere appreciation,","fullyFundedDate":1766155880942,"projectUrl":"project/strong-minds-calm-hearts-a-space-for/9770231/","projectTitle":"“Strong Minds, Calm Hearts: A Space for Every Student”","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Catlett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6834948_orig.png?crop=1200,1200,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759100020412","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6834948"},{"teacherId":7687641,"projectId":9245685,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom project!
