They had a lot of questions about what the sandboxes were for, but have loved using them in both ELA and math. \r\nStudents work to write letters, numbers and sight words. During small group, students write letters. Sometimes I will tell them the letter to write and sometimes I will give the sound, and students will quickly write the letter. Other students will quickly write words, especially sight words from our word wall. During math, students have practice number writing, focusing on correct formation. \r\nThank you so much for donating to our classroom and providing these materials.
