Just setting it up today, I could already imagine how much more inviting and student-centered the space will feel once they arrive.\r\nI'm excited to see how students react when they walk in on Monday and experience the new setup for the first time. I think they'll appreciate how much more personal and peaceful the room feels, something designed just for them. Early in the school year, I'll be using this space for individual check-ins and to kick off our \"Kindness Week\" project, where students will plan small, meaningful ways to support and encourage each other. The students come to school everyday excited to learn. When center time comes they run to the chart to see what center they will be doing. There is tins of caring and such beautiful teamwork to learn their friends spell and read. They problem solve together. My students are sounding out words and printing in their journals everyday.\r\n You have made such a huge difference in their thinking and their attitude towards learning. They are curious to learn more everyday. We do not do a sight word test weekly. The caring and compassion that has been created in the classroom has removed any discipline issues and has taught the students teamwork. They can feel they are growing and have created a greater desire to learn.\r\n Many of my students receive no help at home, its just from the classroom. The color coded letters with pictures have helped my students with learning disabilities so much. They can spell and say each word on the wooden slate. They get so excited to read to each other and spell together. They also have become better readers with the help of the hands on learning centers. They are getting ready for First grade. They come to school everyday eager to learn.
