I teach Spanish 3 at Conrad Schools of Science and every year I have between 120-150 students. Because of your kindness, my students now have access to engaging, level-appropriate Spanish books that will make a lasting difference in their language learning experience.\r\n\r\nLanguage acquisition research shows that students acquire language at a much greater rate when they have access to input (reading or listening) in the target language on a subject of their choosing. Having a wide variety of books allows students to see Spanish used in meaningful, authentic contexts. These books support vocabulary growth, comprehension, and confidence while reinforcing grammar naturally. And when students can choose books that match their interests and reading levels, they are more motivated, more engaged, and more willing to take risks in the language. This sense of ownership helps transform Spanish from \"just another class\" into a language they enjoy and want to use.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and in the power of language learning. Your generosity will continue to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love for Spanish long after this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1760372192794,"projectUrl":"project/free-reading-library-en-espaol/9816385/","projectTitle":"Free Reading Library en EspaƱol","teacherDisplayName":"Sra. Because of your generosity, my science students now have access to new books and hands-on resources that are already making a meaningful impact on learning in my classroom.\r\n\r\nThis project was designed to increase literacy within science instruction, and your support has helped make that goal a reality. The new books are giving students opportunities to strengthen their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and scientific writing skills while engaging with real-world science topics. Students are more willing to read, discuss, and ask questions when they have materials that are accessible, relevant, and interesting to them.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the STEM thinking tools included in this project have helped promote curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Students are collaborating more, thinking more deeply about scientific concepts, and explaining their reasoning with greater confidence. These materials have helped shift my classroom from simply learning science facts to truly thinking like scientists.\r\n\r\nYour donation has created a more engaging, literacy-rich learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to grow. The color and creativity have made our classroom a place where students truly want to learn and express themselves.\r\n\r\nBeyond the visual changes, this project has deeply impacted student learning and collaboration. The creative supplies have helped my students make meaningful connections through hands-on, project-based lessons. Students who once hesitated to share their ideas are now leading group projects and finding their voice.
