This has been such a wonderful opportunity for them to think outside the box and try something new. Most students have listened to podcasts, but making one is a new experience. It was a learning curve for both myself and the students, one that we are still tweaking. But it is exciting!\r\nMost recently, students have engaged in book discussions using the podcasting equipment. They have said it doesn't make them feel as stressed doing a discussion in a small group, recorded, rather than in a whole class. There is something calming about wearing earphones on too! For me as the one assessing, it really allows me to hear what they are saying. I can go back and focus on clear segments, rather than rush in hearing something in a large, classroom setting.\r\nI am excited to expand what my kids will do with this podcasting equipment next year. I truly appreciate your kindness in contributing to my classroom. In a subject where problem-solving often depends on multi-step calculations—such as stoichiometry, gas laws, and solution chemistry—having a reliable calculator allows students to focus on understanding the concepts rather than worrying about whether they have the proper materials. This access has reduced stress and created a more equitable learning environment, especially for students who might not otherwise be able to provide their own calculator.\r\n\r\nThe availability of these calculators has also improved student confidence and engagement. When every student can actively participate in practice problems, labs, and assessments, class time becomes more productive and inclusive. Students are more willing to attempt challenging problems, check their work, and learn from mistakes because they have the tools needed to be successful. Overall, donor-funded calculators have supported deeper learning, increased participation, and helped my students build the skills they need to succeed in chemistry and beyond.","fullyFundedDate":1767836010204,"projectUrl":"project/chemistry-class-calculators/9891599/","projectTitle":"Chemistry Class Calculators","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Seremet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10348813_orig.jpg?crop=3974,3974,x0,y622&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767876213684","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10348813"},{"teacherId":6315380,"projectId":9115939,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my DonorsChoose project!
