This technology allows each learner to access lessons in a way that meets their individual needs and strengths. With the help of accessibility features such as speech-to-text, text-to-speech, guided access, and visual supports, students who once struggled to keep up are now able to participate more fully and confidently. The iPad have made it possible for students to engage with academic content through videos, interactive simulations, and adaptive learning apps that adjust to their pace and ability level.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students most is the freedom and creativity the iPads bring to their learning. They love creating presentations, recording themselves reading aloud, and using digital art or video to demonstrate what they've learned. For many, it's the first time they've been able to show their understanding in a way that feels natural and empowering. The technology not only supports skill development and it helps students find their voices and take pride in their accomplishments.\r\n\r\nOne of my students, who was often hesitant to participate in group work, has become one of our classroom tech leaders. With the iPad, this student has discovered a passion for creating digital stories and now helps peers navigate new apps. The growth in confidence, communication, and independence we've seen is truly remarkable. Thanks to your generous support, our students are not just learning and they're thriving, discovering new strengths, and realizing that technology can open doors to endless possibilities.","fullyFundedDate":1757266474100,"projectUrl":"project/ipad-power-unlocking-learning-through-t/9661054/","projectTitle":"iPad Power: Unlocking Learning Through Technology","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ana","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10230074"},{"teacherId":9997457,"projectId":9252708,"letterContent":"First of all let me thank you all for donating to our classroom. I came into the art room last year from an elementary classroom in which I had spent 22 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. I found limited art supplies, but had some wood burning supplies for my 5th through 12th graders. A few students had done some wood burning craft before, but most had no experience in the medium. \r\n The students loved wood burning. They liked using the woodburning tools to create art. Many said it was like carving with heat, applying their designs on the wood. After we received the wood burning tools with different tips, many were able to get different effects on the wood. Some students thought the medium was harder to use than they thought it would be. The students designed and made coasters, plaques, hanging Christmas ornaments, and even wooden jewelry. A couple of my art classes even incorporated paint on their wood burnt art pieces. \r\n We are planning to make hanging ornaments, detailed scenes from nature, and self choice wood burning art projects this school year. Without donor support this would not have been available for my students. Thank you!","fullyFundedDate":1745513474594,"projectUrl":"project/burning-art/9252708/","projectTitle":"Burning Art","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crawford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9997457"},{"teacherId":9759608,"projectId":8936164,"letterContent":"Hi. Just an update on our project. After talking with my students on what we could do as a classroom project, we decided to grow plants. They were very excited after we ordered our supplies and they found out we were sponsored. We began to prepare. For our classroom instruction we talked about what our plants would need, how they begin life and how they continue to grow. We watched videos, completed worksheets and drew pictures of the plant cycle to prepare us for our project. My student were so excited. We began to wait for the mail on a daily basis. \r\n When our supplies arrived my students and I could not wait to get started. We reviewed the planting process, got our supplies ready to go and began planting. The students shared stories on the kind of seeds they planted and how long they thought it would take for them to begin to grow. We labeled all of our plants and we talked about how they needed, water, food and sunlight just like humans do. \r\n Within a few days some of the plants sprouted. We were so excited. The kids would come in every day and check on their plants. We made sure that they were watered every Thrusday as we do a 4 day a week school year. Many of the students worried that their plants would die during the weekend. This was so fun!! The plants have now been sent home with the students to plant outside in their yards. Thank you so much donors!","fullyFundedDate":1741384281139,"projectUrl":"project/how-our-garden-grows/8936164/","projectTitle":"How Our Garden Grows","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Shelley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/shelleym-brown"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78634","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":197,"numTeachers":9,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":98,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"21.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":60.9,"schoolId":78634,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Heart Butte School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Heart Butte School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/heart-butte-school-district-1/heart-butte-school/78634"}
