The supply table in the room already looks better. Instead of stacks of papers for each class, those papers have been transferred to hanging files with labels so students and I can easily find paperwork when needed. This has allowed me to keep other classroom supplies (dry-erase boards, markers, colored pencils, etc) all in the same place instead of spread around the classroom.\r\n\r\nI'm also taking this opportunity to organize the entire course's worth of materials (notes, keys, quizzes, activities) by chapter. This will make it easier to plan and make adjustments from year to year, so I can easily update material and add more fun activities as I find or create them. \r\n\r\nI am beyond excited to continue organizing the course materials with the supplies you have so generously allowed us to purchase. With your help, my classroom has become more accessible to all students. The headphones make it possible to provide students with individualized activities when they've been absent or need extra help on a topic. They are able to watch videos and see examples that are specific to their needs without the entire class being on the same topic. \r\n\r\nStudents with reading difficulties are also able to use the headphones for testing, using apps that can read them the problems. I even have some that like to sit as if they are the teacher (17- and 18-year-olds playing teacher) when they're the ones who get to explain an idea to their friends. It is so fun to watch the almost-adults still get to have fun while being productive in math class.
