Many of the items directly support our students and their learning, giving them the opportunity to learn and have a comfortable environment to help them. Our students have difficult times with sensory input and donating these items help so much in mitigating any problems, especially the headphones, giving them a quiet space wherever they go. The wiggle donut seats have been a life changer for many of our active students, giving them the outlet to get energy out and be ready to learn. Our reading chair is a lovely addition as well, giving the students who need a calm and soft area to sit and de-stress from any stimulus that becomes too much. Another helpful addition to our classroom has been the sensory peapod and square colored seats, letting students have more autonomy in their ability to choose an appropriate seat or area to have time to themselves. Lastly, all of the adults want to give a big thank you for the teacher chairs! They have definitely given us the ability to have comfortable seating that can also serve as a appropriate adult to student seating option, allowing students to sit side by side with us without another chair.","fullyFundedDate":1746786359091,"projectUrl":"project/elementary-special-needs-autismdevelop/9110208/","projectTitle":"Elementary Special Needs (Autism/Developmental Disabilities) Title 1 School: Classroom Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9569275_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718370407723","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9569275"},{"teacherId":1686758,"projectId":9254123,"letterContent":"I am writing to tell you how grateful we am for your gift of all of these fun math activities. It has been a game changer for students in my class because they don't even feel like intervention groups are work. They love playing these games and their skills are growing every day. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity. They influenced their academic performance, behavior, and overall well-being.\r\nMany students came to school without eating breakfast or with long gaps between meals. Having snacks available helped them stay energized and more attentive during lessons. I saw fewer instances of daydreaming or zoning out—especially during late-morning and mid-afternoon hours also Offering snacks showed students that their well-being matters.
