They wondered what we are going to do work all those snacks. I told them how we will be creating projects along the way using snacks. They thought that was such a fun idea! We did our first projects recently. Students built the Roman Colosseum using some snacks. They also showed the story of Andocles and the Lion using snacks. They had lots of fun being creative in doing their project while using snacks to add details. The magnetic body was so much fun and neat to see how the pieces all fit together. It fit nicely on the whiteboard and will be used for many many years. The mini skeleton was neat too. The kids loved looking at all the bones when we studied bones. We especially loved disecting and looking at all the owl pellets. It was so cool to find the owl bones. I think the ant farm was their favorite! They loved watching all the ants dig their tunnels and to see how hard they work together. They stay attached to the outside of their desk pretty well. We use these erasers every time we use our whiteboards. We mostly practice spelling words and math on our whiteboards. We have played a few of them already. They especially like the Math Noodlers game. It is 4 players and they love doing this board game together. The multiplication games we will be playing soon, as my students have barely been learning multiplication. The fraction games will be added in a couple weeks too. We do not learn fractions till the end of the year, but I thought with these games, my students can get a head start on learning about them. Thank you for helping them with that!
