When I told my classes on the first day of school that they will be earning classroom money to use to buy items in class, they were immediately excited about math class. My students have been working hard to earn their paychecks in our classroom economy, learning how to use their classroom bank account to keep track of their earnings for doing math work, and experiencing the joy of spending their well-earned pay on fun items from the classroom store and auction. We just recently had our first auction, and it was very successful for fun and learning! Many students are excited to come to math class and participate in this economic experience! I believe this experience will be a life-long benefit to my students greatly, and you are a big part of that. The prizes were perfect for my classes, and I'm definitely going to continue this work for the rest of the school year and beyond. They loved showing their creativity, and the bright, colorful posters now hang on our walls as a daily reminder of their aspirations.\r\n\r\nThe students' reaction was priceless. Some even asked, \"Are these really for us?\" Having their own resources made them feel valued and supported, and it boosted their excitement to start new lessons. These materials are not just tools; they have helped set a positive tone for the year and encouraged students to dive into activities with enthusiasm.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will be using these supplies for interactive projects in math and science, such as creating foldables, diagrams, and colorful graphic organizers to help students understand new concepts. The resources will also continue to support daily writing and reading activities. The kids have benefited from these products and feel more confident and clean everyday. We were also able to pass out the tooth brushes at our Holiday Resource Fair to help insure families had proper oral hygiene products.
