Your kindness and support have made a meaningful impact on our learning environment, providing my students with engaging, informative, and inspiring articles, stories, plays, and literacy activities.\r\n\r\nThe magazines have already sparked excitement in our classroom, fostering curiosity and a love for reading. The students loved the Freedom for Flora article in our first magazine. With these resources, my students can explore new ideas, stay informed about current events, and enhance their literacy skills in a fun and interactive way. Your generosity is helping to create a richer and more engaging educational experience, and for that, we are truly grateful.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and for investing in the education of young minds. Your kindness makes a real difference, and we deeply appreciate your support.","fullyFundedDate":1735603479258,"projectUrl":"project/ready-set-read/8902511/","projectTitle":"Ready, Set, Read!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Capaldi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2342257"},{"teacherId":9711485,"projectId":8710915,"letterContent":"I want to thank you so very much for the amazing gift of Scholastic News! We have been enjoying each magazine and learning so very much from each one.\r\nIn November, my students were able to not just read about the first Thanksgiving, but we also learned about the Native Americans. We talked about how they celebrate together. We also learned about how the Native Americans lived in the past. What they learned was a precursor to what we are learning today. The student in my class are currently learning about the Plains Indians in language arts. With Scholastic News, we could go back and watch a video about actual Native Americans. They are also making connections to the ideas they learned in the November Scholastic News issue.\r\n\r\nThe great thing about this subscription is that we are not just reading about the topics, we are being immersed in the topics. We watch videos, answer questions, learn vocabulary, read, an even play games for each magazine!! My students are learning so much more than what we teach in the curriculum and they are having so much fun while they are learning. These magazine issues have been a great tool to use with small groups, in whole groups and with substitutes. Scholastic News has been a lifesaver! Thank you is not enough to express how truly grateful I am to you for your donation.","fullyFundedDate":1729772162056,"projectUrl":"project/scholastic-news/8710915/","projectTitle":"Scholastic News","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Harvey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9711485"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_90506","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":501,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":17,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":31,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":30,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.8,"schoolId":90506,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hatfield Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hatfield Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/north-penn-school-district/hatfield-elementary-school/90506"}
