The headphones include microphones, which are beneficial for video recordings and other assignments requiring audio input. The microphones function effectively. Additionally, the use of individual bags has improved organization; previously, students stored mice and headphones in a shared bucket, which was inefficient. We have been so grateful to have the best tools available to us for our learning. The kids were so excited to open these boxes up, and see all the amazing materials donated to our classroom. We have used all materials daily, and it would not have been possible without your support.\r\n\r\nWhile our students have one-on-one devices, it was very difficult for them to maneuver a Chromebook trackpad on their own. Having their own mouse has been such a game changer. They are able to use their device more effectively, and learn basic computer skills while using them. We have been taking on coding activities this year, and being able to drag objects to use has been such a relief for these kids. Also, with teaching a split class, the headphones have been the best gift of all. With so much small group going on, kids need some one on one instruction for them through their device. This got very tricky with the limited headphones we previously had (most of which were barely working). Now all students have been able to use these effectively, to receive the instruction they need at their level (without noise bothering those around them).\r\n\r\nLastly, another big help has been our primary ruled notebooks. We use these each day for students to practice their writing skills. They love it anytime we get to pull these out, because they are so meaningful to the kids. They don't receive much, and the idea that they get to keep their work as they become authors is so exciting for them. It also allows them to see the progress they are making.\r\n\r\nThank you again so much for your kind and wonderful donations. They have gone such a long way for us!","fullyFundedDate":1747843103253,"projectUrl":"project/ms-andersons-project-classroom-suppli/9347827/","projectTitle":"Ms. Anderson's Project; Classroom Supplies for Targeted Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Anderson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10033248_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747031870104","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10033248"},{"teacherId":10030928,"projectId":9444649,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of white boards, markers, and erasers. My students and I are already putting them to great use every single day! We use the white boards for quick math practice, spelling games, and partner activities where students can show their thinking in real time. One of my favorite moments so far was during a math review game—students eagerly held up their answers, cheering each other on and celebrating when they solved challenging problems together.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled. The excitement on their faces as they each picked up a brand-new marker and white board was priceless. \r\n\r\nRight now, we are beginning a unit on division, and the white boards are helping students model problems, and share strategies in a way that feels interactive and fun. Next, we'll be using them for group science investigations where students will record data and sketch quick observations to share with their peers.\r\n\r\nThese resources have truly transformed our classroom into a more hands-on and collaborative learning space. Thank you for giving my students this wonderful opportunity to learn, practice, and grow with enthusiasm.","fullyFundedDate":1751934632514,"projectUrl":"project/5th-graders-need-whiteboards/9444649/","projectTitle":"5th Graders Need Whiteboards!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Flaim","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10030928"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44925","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":272,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.2,"schoolId":44925,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Harry S Truman Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Harry S Truman Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/granite-school-district/harry-s-truman-elementary-school/44925"}
