Because of the kindness of Herb Kohl Philanthropies, we've received a variety of resources that are already having a meaningful impact on our students' learning and well-being. The marble mazes have become a hands-on favorite. Students are able to use them to quietly regulate themselves when they start to become overstimulated or emotionally escalated. Our social-emotional learning books have opened the door to meaningful conversations about empathy & emotions. These stories have helped our students better understand themselves and one another.\r\nThe ADHD resources are a huge support for our learners who benefit from movement and focus tools throughout the day. These items are helping create a more inclusive and responsive classroom environment for all. The dry erase board with timer has made a big difference in keeping routines smooth and students on track. It provides visual structure and helps everyone stay engaged and focused during transitions and lessons.\r\nThe \"How to Train Your Amygdala\" calming kit has been an incredible addition to our calm corner. It gives students tangible tools to regulate their emotions and take control of their feelings in positive, healthy ways. We're especially thankful for the emotions flash cards, which are perfect for working with our littlest learners. These cards help them build emotional vocabulary and recognize feelings in themselves and others—a crucial foundation for social development. And last but not least, the mini Squishmallows have brought so much joy and comfort into our space. Students are absolutely delighted by them! They've become a cozy, calming tool during quiet time, reading breaks, or just when someone needs a moment of comfort.\r\nYour support is helping us build a classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and excited to learn.
