I have always dreamed of being a teacher and as a little girl I never imagined funding my classroom would be a challenge I encounter. But with your generosity and support I am able to continue to live out my dream as an educator. Last school year my school was closed due to mold. We were relocated for the reminder of the school year. Thankfully we were moved back into our original classroom at the start of the school year, but my current classroom is small and unable to hold the white easel board. I spoke to my principal and was told I will be getting a bigger classroom next year. When that happens I can not wait to use my white easel board! I look forward to using it to hang/display current anchor charts we are using during our mini lesson. I most excitingly can not wait to have the flexibility of rolling it over from my classroom rug to my kidney table to use it during my small group lessons! I truly can not wait! Until then, please know that I have made sure that my white easel is stored safely. We have completing more read alouds as a class and students have enjoyed all the new books they are able to read! The books are great introductions to do new lessons! \r\n\r\nReading in the classroom looks like a lot of different things! We read books during read alouds, during shared reading, and independent reading where they read around the classroom. \r\n\r\nMy class as a whole as truly been enjoying the books! My classroom is extremely crafty and we enjoy doing a lot of hands on activities. For example, for Christmas, our class used our air dry clay to create snowman gifts for our parents as well. The students will also be using the other crafty items for the future holidays coming our way! We had such an exciting moment that we are excited to do more! \r\n\r\nMy students were extremely excited for the activities and crafty items that they received for our class. They enjoy doing these activities just for fun but getting to make them for their parents or as a gift to take home make it even more precious and fun. \r\n\r\nAs a second grade teacher, we went through an extremely scary change in which we lost all the belongings in our classroom due to a mold infestation in our school. My next project will focus on rebuilding my classroom to make it the best environment for my students!
