The students were so excited to see all of the new materials we got for this year and were very curious about all the projects we could make with them. \r\n As little as it seems, the pads of paper are one of the most important items on the list because we use them for basically every single project! Having the different types of paper for different mediums also allows the students to create better, long lasting artwork because they are made to withstand the materials used. I can't wait to share some of their art with you all! Overall from all the materials obtained the students' favorites have been the clay and ironically the lamps. They love the softer lighting over the florescent lights and are much more excited to work in a \"cozier\" environment. The clay projects we did were an absolute hit and could not be possible without the clay and clay tools gifted! \r\nI can't be more thankful for all the smiles and excitement you all provide. When I received the supplies that your donation secured all of the students were overjoyed. Unboxing the materials was like seeing the students on Christmas. They were more excited to create than I had seen them the whole semester. Many of them were relived that they would have the opportunity to create multiple pieces per lesson and not be limited or have the pressure of only having one chance. \r\n Having these materials gave both myself and the students hope for creating more awesome artwork. Some of the students had never been able to create freely and it was a joy being able to see them work. It would have never been possible without each and every one of you. I cannot thank you enough for this generous contribution. Being a first year teacher I wasn't sure what all I would need for the classroom or students, but having these supplies has felt like a huge weight has been lifted! \r\n My favorite aspects of this donation were that I could organize my classroom to create a warm and inviting environment, and I could introduce the students to new forms of art making. They are going to have a blast with our painting and printmaking projects we can do now!
