We also wanted them to know that even though you are not in school, we still wanted them to have some of the fun things we have on campus. \r\n\r\nI also included some pictures of our playground with our school mascot so they can see what our campus looks like. My students use headphones daily for their work on the computer. The classroom of today integrates technology in so many ways and is able to provide customized learning opportunities for students at all ability levels. They use headphones to complete remediation exercises, watch learning videos, interact with digital assignments through our curriculum programs, listen to books, and more! \r\n\r\nWhen you consider the number of students in each classroom and the possibility of each student working on different assignments at the same time, each student having a quality pair of headphones to accomplish their assignments is imperative. \r\n\r\nMy students are taking pride in their headphones because they were able to choose their color and they know everyday they are using \"their\" headphones because they are numbered with their classroom number. No more complaints about them being broken, not working, or uncomfortable. Your donation has made it possible for my kiddos to not go hungry throughout their school day. These materials were a wonderful New Year's gift, donated by YOU! \r\nThe students were so happy to open the boxes and get started using the materials. \r\n\r\nAs the students were opening the boxes, they had many conversations about how excited they were to open all of the boxes to see what's inside. They made many predictions of what they thought was inside the boxes. Th students whose prediction was right were so thrilled to be right. Making predictions is a skill that we are currently learning in ELA.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited about the many choices of colors in the huge crayon box. The bright pink, yellow and orange were their favorites. The students enjoyed picking two colors each from the Play-Doh of their own to have to play with to keep from spreading germs. Having the hand sanitizer at the peak of flu season was very necessary! Being able to laminate center activities and other keepsakes is always a teacher's dream.
