As a school psychologist, I often see students struggling to find a sense of belonging or navigating the complexities of social-emotional growth. Your support of our Kindness Club has provided a vital sanctuary where these students can learn, create, and connect.\r\n\r\nThe button maker and shrinky-dinks have been a game-changer for our school-wide outreach. Students designed custom buttons that featured the name and slogans of Kindness Club, as well as pronouns that reflect their unique identities. Students also made buttons they can share with friends and loved ones. This allows us to not only reflect the important work of Kindness Club to others around, but also ensures that folks far and wide can see the impact this work has on our Huskies. \r\n\r\nAs we near the end of the school year, we are gearing up to create our tie-dye shirts this Friday, 5/15, and will complete the shirt project the week after. This will allow students to wear their Kindness Club shirts during the last week of school and beyond. Finally, the slime is an end of year tradition that we plan to complete the week of May 25th, and students are thrilled at the prospect of making their own slime. \r\n\r\nYour contribution has done more than just fund a project; it has built a bridge. It has\r\nallowed students who might otherwise feel \"different\" to find common ground through creativity. You have helped us create a space where questions are welcomed, differences are celebrated, and empathy is the primary language spoken.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for helping them grow into the kind,\r\ncompassionate leaders of tomorrow.","fullyFundedDate":1771126221759,"projectUrl":"project/support-our-schools-kindness-club/10069224/","projectTitle":"Support Our School's Kindness Club!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Katie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1944509_orig.jpg?crop=1440,1440,x0,y33&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758055733338","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-pettersen"},{"teacherId":1582084,"projectId":9517321,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for choosing my class to make a difference. Students now have a physical outlet for their big feelings—whether they need to squeeze away frustration or redirect their energy in a focused way. For our students, having these tangible items provides immediate support and helps them feel calm and regulated.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the weighted lap pad has created a true sense of security and support for those who need a little extra grounding.
