This helps them build vocabulary, recognize story patterns, and understand that the words they hear match the words on the page.\r\n\r\n Listening and Attention\r\nWhen our Sea Pals sit with headphones and follow along, they practice focusing, listening carefully, and remembering details. These skills are so important for success in Kindergarten and beyond.\r\n\r\n Social and Emotional Growth\r\nThe listening center gives every Sea Pal a chance to enjoy books independently, building confidence. It also teaches responsibility as they care for materials and practice taking turns.\r\n\r\n Creativity and Imagination\r\nHearing stories sparks our Sea Pals' imagination! They begin to visualize characters and settings, which carries over into their art, play, and storytelling.\r\n\r\nSchool Readiness\r\nBy listening to and enjoying stories, Sea Pals are developing the foundational literacy skills they'll need as future readers and learners.","fullyFundedDate":1746786501751,"projectUrl":"project/pre-k-listening-center-for-language-and/9053136/","projectTitle":"Pre-K Listening Center for Language and Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stephanie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9402152_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701750620776","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9402152"},{"teacherId":9706743,"projectId":8703152,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my project to bring fun and color to my classroom!
