My students have been excited to earn their classroom points and use them to \"buy\" the fun items of their choice each week. Some of the positive behaviors that can earn them points are: being prepared and on time for class, participating positively in a group, and being on task. The students often ask me how many points they have or ask me if they can log into Class Dojo to check their points. They do this because they are saving up for certain items and these rewards are very motivating to them. So far this year, the most popular items have been silly putty, shoe charms, and the little squishy animals.\r\n\r\nThank you again for donating these fun rewards so my classroom can be a more positive place for the students!","fullyFundedDate":1753991902600,"projectUrl":"project/mr-lacys-class-dojo-store/9496979/","projectTitle":"Mr. Lacy's Class Dojo Store","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lacy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2370471_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y191&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1719779633496","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2370471"},{"teacherId":9465186,"projectId":9058592,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping us pull off another Classics Day at our school. On behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous support of the Book Nook project. Thanks to your kindness and generosity, my classroom has become a vibrant hub for reading for pleasure and connection. Observing students with books in hand—reading intently, sharing favorite passages, and exchanging thoughts with their peers—has been truly magical. These moments have not only enriched their minds, but they have also forged new friendships among students who might not have otherwise crossed paths. The donated books have served as a bridge uniting them. \r\n This student-created, student-led book club has become one of my favorite parts of Thursday afternoons. It has been deeply fulfilling to listen to my students engage in heartfelt conversations about generational trauma, love as a universal language, and solving the question of \"Who did it?\" Over the last two months, we have welcomed two additional members, bringing our total to 10 participants, which is our goal. It is clear that the Book Nook is creating a ripple effect of positivity and curiosity throughout our school community. \r\n Your contribution has accomplished so much more than just providing books—it has opened doors to new worlds, encouraged empathy through shared stories, and built a sense of community that will endure well beyond this school year. We are already considering titles for next year! Your generosity has reminded us all of the profound impact that kindness and education can have. \r\n Thank you for believing in the Book Nook and for helping to make it a reality. You have inspired a love for reading and learning that will stay with my students for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1733754191348,"projectUrl":"project/the-book-nook/8941064/","projectTitle":"The Book Nook","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3919500_orig.jpg?crop=3000,3000,x0,y960&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731470996259","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3919500"},{"teacherId":9465186,"projectId":8772373,"letterContent":"My students were happy to start drawing, tracing, and creating brochures showing why Romans and Celts went to the religious site of Aqua Sulis in the first century CE. Having different color options and pencils with erasers might seem like something you would take for granted, but we do not have much funding from within school for supplies.\r\n\r\nTake pencils, for example. I ordered 4 boxes of 144 count golf pencils with my supply money since many students do not equipped to school. I just opened my fourth box last week halfway through the year. Many students return them at the end of class because they don't have erasers !
